IMS Academy has been making Champions in and outside of the ring for the last ten years, under 2000 IFPA World Champion Brian Burns. It has become known as the premier Mixed Martial Arts gym in the Monterey Bay area.
We teach men, women and children the skills to live a better life through fitness, fun, while building self confidence. It is an ego free environment staffed by highly qualified personnel, from certified fitness instructors to professional combat athletes. Come in for a FREE introductory day of training.

Monkey Biz:
New Winter Schedule: With the growth of the teen program, and the adoption of Scott Symons' Family Martial Arts kids program, IMS is expanding it's Jr. schedule.
Muay Thai kickboxing and Spartan Fitness have also expanded classes (check schedule).
Crossfit NSC: in Scott's Valley is the new home of IMS training every Tuesday and Thursday evenings under Coaches Burns and Pringle. All current IMS students are welcome at no additional cost(check schedule).
Tough times for all: With current economic realities, IMS understands that to choose the extracurricular activity of training is these days is difficult, and is most gratefull. Although financial losses instead of gains have been incurred by the gym, we are going to weather the storm, and fees will remain at their current rates for the foreseeable future. Good luck to us all.
